Wellington drag queens are being asked to audition for a currently secret on-going gig beginning in March.
Former Miss Drag Wellington Amanduh La Whore, known for her community work around the country, has been offered an exciting new contract and is looking for talented Wellington-based drag queens to sign up.
“I can’t really give out too much information at the moment,” she tells Aaron and Andy.com. “This venture is in the planning stages and I’m looking for at least five Wellington drag show girls … [this] would be an ongoing show case opportunity to the successful applicants.” She says she will be in a better position to release more information soon. “For right now it’s a matter of getting the word out there, holding the auditions, confirming girls, conducting rehearsals and then marketing and promo.”
Amanduh says this exciting opportunity has the potential to be a great boost for Wellington’s drag scene, which has slowly declined over the last few years. “This has the potential to be really good for Wellington and our drag community — the client’s vision is well thought out and very exciting.”

It’s a shame Felicity is leaving sunday! Felicity would be great at hosting something like this!!! However are there any other drag queens left in Wellington? Not a bitchy comment but other than Ellie Kat I am not sure i know any others who do professional drag down there?
