Rhubarb Rouge, last year’s Miss Drag Wellington, has reportedly told friends she won’t be competing to keep her crown at Wellington’s Next Top Drag Queen, taking place on Sunday 6 June.
The diva, who claims she doesn’t have time to put in the effort she would like to if entering, will still be performing on the night, just not as an entrant.
“She would like to put in more effort if she was going to enter”, a friend emailed Aaron and Andy.com. “And part of her thinks she shouldn’t risk going out as a loser since she’s already won once”.
Wellington’s Next Top Drag Queen 2010 is still seeking entrants. Anyone interested should fill in the form here.
