Residents of Whanganui, where 21-year-old gay man Jevan Goulter is running for Mayor, will soon see his face plastered over the city on billboards. But who is paying for all this?
Goulter’s camp have produced ten three-metre-wide billboards which will be going up on private properties around the city, and he will also appear in a half-page newspaper advertisement next week. All this costs thousands of dollars.
Jevan wouldn’t answer detailed questions posed by Aaron and Andy.com, and simply said: “I paid for my own advertising and campaign. You don’t think anybody else would wanna touch me do you?”
So who is paying for all of this? Is it really Jevan, or has he got some secret funding channels that he doesn’t wish to reveal?
What a waste of money. A million dollars worth of advertising could not save his campaign now. He should have used those thousands on bond to get himself a home.

I actually think it is a shame, that Chandra has not been able to break away from, and overcome, the obstacles that her mother’s reputation would have caused for her. She is a person in her own right, and should not be judged, or lumped in with the nastiness that is her mother.
I had several conversations with her on Facebook, and she came across to me, as a kind person with good intentions. I guess we can never know what a person is really like though, just from a few email exchanges, and associating herself with Jevan has obviously been a huge mistake, if getting into council was her desired result.
Unfortunately, the only thing she will have succeeded in doing, in allowing Jevan to latch himself on to her, is be used for the free accommodation, prepay phone recharges, and smokes that he was scabbing money off her for, last i heard.

You can try and blame the Osbornes as much as you like. An individual is in control of their own thoughts and actions. Mike suffered from PTSD after returning from Afhanistan (he would prefer to deny that and blame the Osbornes though) and Chandra supported him through his depression and PTSD. She ran herself into the ground working, caring for the children and also her husband who needed supervision almost 24 hours a day for almost 4 months.
At the end of the day if I look at this whole scenario I think that Chandra is the victim in the whole situation. She is an amazing person who has served her time defending our country, working hard in her community and supporting others.
